Watercolor tutorail of "many friends", a fairy. I like this artwork, the fairy is very peaceful and it includes several animals which are a singing bluetit, pink blue bunny and a little butterfly over her toe... She may be alone but she has animal friends, I think the bluetit is the most delicate part of this artwork, I love these birds... This artwork is quite small, 5x7". First few images show the sketch steps and the following steps explain the watercolor tecniques. I painted this arwork at 2010, my tecnique and style is changed a bit, but this tutorial is still gives the overall view of watercolor style of me. Watercolor Tutoral of Wake Up Moon Fairy, Moon Fairy

Watercolor tutorail of "wake up moon fairy". This is my first attempt to define a starry night sky and the moon, and I am most satisfied by the result, but the cloud in this artwork may have been different. Anyway, I still like this artwork and what fantastic concept it delivers. The size of this artwork is 8,2x11.4". I also used white acrylic on this artwork, FolkArt Titanium White and I really like it, it is very opaque and as white and smooth as the watercolor paper. I never used such a white medium before, I fixed many mistakes with this white acrylic, besides it is cheaper than other acrylics. I used Fabriano Hot Pressed 140lb watercolor paper for this artwork. This is my favorite ACEO (2,5x3,5" mini painting) that I ever done. A fairy with delicate look, it was fun to paint her... I love ivies, and I used them to crown her head...

Watercolor ACEO Tutoral of Shelia, Little Fairy

Watercolor tutorail of "Shelia" little fairy. This is an ACEO portrait of my friend Merve. She has a very beautiful and meaningful face, I had fun while painting her portrait. ACEOs are very tiny artworks, they are 2,5x3,5" and it is hard to handle the details. I used Fabriano Hot Pressed 140lb watercolor paper for this artwork. Colors used

skin tone: dioxazine violet (for the base/shadow area), raw siena (for the flesh tone), rose madder (for the nose, cheeks - like using make up blush) - as you see the first two photo.

eyes: sepia (for the frame and eyelashes) olive green (eye color) white (shine dots with white gel pen)

eyebrow: sepia

frames and lines: umber (like the nose, chin, lips)

lips: rose madde, white lines (white gel pen)

hair: sepia and burnt umber (to give red highlight which contrast with olive green eyes and expose each other.)

* and a little bit white - white gel pen - gel pens are great for little details...
